JIMMY RAY COLEMAN
1947 - 2016


Jimmy Ray Coleman was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on May 16, 1947 and departed this life at The Cushing Medical Center in Cushing, Oklahoma on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the age of 68 years.
He was the son of Cleo Edward and Mary Thelma Brown Coleman and was a resident of Pawnee, Oklahoma.
Jimmy was a graduate of Stroud High School where he played football, baseball, basketball, ran track, sang in the Glee Club and was a member of the F.F.A.
He served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for six years.
He married his wife Patsy on June 3, 1988 at the Assembly of God Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
He attended barber college and worked as a barber for 45 years. He was owner and operator of the Executive Style Shop in Stillwater until his retirement. He also worked as a security officer for the Stillwater Medical Center for 16 years.
Jimmy love sports of all kinds. He served as a football referee for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Mary Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy of the home; two sons, Kevin Hayes and wife, Tammy of Pawnee and Keith Hayes of Long Grove, Oklahoma; two daughters, Jill Herig and husband, Lenny of Steilacoom, Washington and Lori Gehrman of Scottdale, Arizona; one sister, Maxine Jordan and husband, Larry of Stroud, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Stroud First Assembly of God Church on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Jeromye Jackson will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Stroud Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
