JUANITA SYBIL COCKRUM
1918 - 2012


Juanita Sybil Jones Cockrum was born in Wadestown, West Virginia on February 22, 1918 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the age of 94 years.
Juanita was the daughter of Raymond Mark and Rozella Hartley Jones.
She was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma since 1945 and worked as a operator and Assistant Office Manager for General Telephone.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma, Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors and was a 4-H Leader.
Juanita married Barren Charles Cockrum in Stillwater, Oklahoma on May 13, 1938. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1999.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one grandchild, Charles.
Survivors include three sons and daughter in laws, Duane and Jane Cockrum of Surprise, Arizona, Jeffrey and Susan Cockrum of Stroud, Oklahoma and Raymond and Jean Cockrum of Guthrie, one daughter and son in law, Patricia and Frank Niccum of Stroud, Oklahoma, one sister, Doris Erwin of Drumright, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren, Betty, Karen, James, Gregory, Minda, Marc, Heather, Ryan, Mathew and Emily, eighteen great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Burl Mackey and Pastor Ashley Green-Young officiating.
Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery, Stroud, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
