SARAH VICTORIA CLEVENGER
1920 - 1987


Entered into Eternal Rest March 25, 1987 ---
Services for Sarah Victoria James Clevenger, 66, of Lebanon, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in Stroud. She died Wednesday, March 25, 1987 in an Oklahoma City hospital.
The funeral will be in the Curry Parks Chapel in Stroud with the Rev. Harold L. Rains officiating.
Burial will be in Stroud Cemetery.
She was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma November 2, 1920 to Thomas Clarence and Mary Frances Spangler James.
Sarah married to Grover "Cliff" Cleveland Clevenger on June 4, 1938 at Hargill, Texas.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Madill and the V. F. W. Auxiliary of Kingston.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband of the home, three sons, Thada Ray Clevenger of Atlanta, Georgia, Monte Allan Clevenger of San Francisco, California and and Clifford Ray Clevenger of Ardmore, six daughters, Joyce Lee Armstrong of Concord, North Carolina, Bonnie Sue Bassett of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Sheryel Ford of Wichita, Kansas, Viola Ruth Lawson of Kansas City, Missouri, Mary Arnet Myers of Kansas City, Kansas and Theresa Jean Back of USAF, Japan, one brother, Lee Roy James of Plano, Texas;, three sisters, Myrtle Mae Lowe of San Diego, California, Alma Agnes Clevenger of Ardmore and Mary Etta Gorley of Oklahoma City, twenty grandchildren and numerous friends.
