GROVER CLEVELAND CLEVENGER
1919 - 1999


A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 1999 at the First Baptist Church in Stroud for Grover C. "Cliff" Clevenger.
The Rev. Ray Clevenger of Heflin, Alabama will officiate the services. Burial will be at the Stroud Cemetery.
Grover C. Clevenger was born in Maud, Oklahoma on October 7, 1919. He died in Heflin, Alabama on October 8, 1998.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Victoria James Clevenger on March 25, 1987, his parents, Benjamin and Katherine Clevenger, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include three sons, Rev. Ray Clevenger of Heflin, Alabama, Monte Clevenger of Mokelumne, California and Clifford Clevenger of Ardmore, Oklahoma, six daughters, Joyce Armstrong of Heflin, Alabama, Bonnie Bassett of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Sheryel Devlin of Conway Springs, Kansas,Viola Lawson of Lowry City, Missouri, Mary Myers of Kansas City, Kansas and Teresa Back of Hope Mills, North Carolina, one brother, Benjamin "Gart" Clevenger of Ardmore, Oklahoma, twenty two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
