GLENN RAY CHRISTIAN SR.
1934 - 2014


Glenn Ray Christian, Sr. was born June 10, 1934 in Wellston to Marion Samuel Christian and Zella Mae Quast Christian.
He passed away April 3, 2014 in Oklahoma City at the age of 79.
Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He was a police officer in the Oklahoma City Police Department for 20 years before retiring in 1984.
Glenn was an avid golfer playing 4 or 5 times per week. He enjoyed tube fishing in his younger years and also played baseball. He loved watching baseball and even helped coach his two boys little league teams. He enjoyed many sports but his favorite of all time was the OU Football Team. Glenn also enjoyed metal detecting as he took trips to battle sites hunting treasures.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Zella; and two sisters, Sharron McWhorter and Lois Miller.
Survivors include his sons, Glenn Ray Christian, Jr. and his wife Tracye of Harrah, Sam Christian of Harrah; six grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Donald Christian of Choctaw, and Jimmy Christian of Shawnee.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 Monday April 7, 2014 in the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
The family would like to welcome friends to visit at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
