CORA D. CAVANAUGH
1904 - 2001


Cora D. Coombs Cavanaugh, former Stroud resident, died Friday in Katy, Texas. She was 96.
Cora was born December 8, 1904, in Purcell to Archie Dent and Alice L. Luster Coombs.
She had lived in Stroud before moving to Katy, Texas in 1997.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Stroud, and had worked as a bookkeeper and business owner.
On February 23, 1968, she married Albert A. Cavanaugh in Reno, Nevada. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1993.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Patsy Barrett of Katy, Texas, niece, Vivian Perrett of Ventura, California, two nephews, John Stevenson and Bobby Stevenson, both of California and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. today at Stroud Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Molencupp officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Stroud.
