CLARENCE KENNETH CASE
1932 - 2006


Clarence Kenneth Case, the son of Johnie and Juanita McConnel Case, was born March 27, 1932 in Cushing, Oklahoma.
He passed away July 17, 2006 in Cushing.
He was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on June 27, 1948.
He graduated from Cushing High School in 1951, lettering in basketball and track.
Kenneth served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956 as an Air Traffic Controller at bases in Texas and England. In 1956, he went to work for FAA as an Air Traffic Controller, working in Memphis, New Orleans, Ft. Worth and Oklahoma City, retiring in 1976.
He was also a licensed pilot.
He received a degree in Business Management from Oklahoma City University in 1976.
Kenneth married Mary Charity Adkins on April 28, 1965. They raised two daughters, Mickey and Kelly.
In May of 1978, Kenneth, Mary and Kelly moved to Cushing.
Kenneth was elected to the Parkland Cemetery Board in June 1979, and served as Secretary-Treasurer for over 26 years. Kenneth compiled the first record of those buried at Parkland. He helped make many improvements to the cemetery including; building the shelter, new roads, trees, gates, fence and the developing of two new sections and staked the majority of the graves during that time.
He was actively involved in the community and served on the Cushing Senior Citizen's Center Board for several years.
Kenneth was very active in his church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie and Juanita, his brother, Harold and his wife, Pansy, and his brother Glenn.
He is survived by his wife Mary, brother Clifford Case and wife Vicki, sister Sharon Randolph and husband Eldon, sister-in- law Carlene Case, daughters Kelly Roberts and husband Steven, Mickey Herring and husband Randy; also four grandchildren Kyrsten and T. J. Roberts, Charity Taylor and husband Nolan, Nathan Herring and wife Sarah, and two great grandchildren Brooke and Clayton Taylor.
Funeral services will be held July 20, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Firstborn in Cushing, Oklahoma.
