LAQUITA JOY CARVER
1932 - 2016


Laquita Joy Dawson Carver was born on April 17, 1932, in Paden, and departed this life on Saturday, October 15, 2016, in Paden, Oklahoma, at the age of 84.
Joy, the daughter of Noble Benton and Hattie Mae Barnett Dawson, was a life-long resident of Paden.
She graduated from Paden High School in 1950.
Joy married Harvey Lewis Carver on June 21, 1950 in Seminole. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1991.
Joy was a member of Prague First Baptist Church.
She loved to work, cook and watch sporting events. Joy devoted her life to her family; supporting her children and grandchildren in each of their endeavors. She was proud of her strong family.
Her parents, husband and brother, Bob Dawson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Butch and Leah Carver and David and Glenda Carver of Paden, daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Keith Wayne Kingsbury of Paden, sister-in-law, Erma Dawson of Paden, grandsons, Keith and Jennifer Carver, Bill Cody and Kellie Johnson, Ty and Danielle Carver and Clayton Kingsbury of Paden, granddaughter, Misty and Michael Walters of Paden, great grandchildren, Dalton Carver, Sydney Case, Jaycee Johnson, Lillie Johnson, Cotton Walters, Naudia Walters, Eli Johnson and Ryder Carver of Paden, great great grandchild, Easton Carver of Paden and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Carver family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons and Bro. Scott Hamilton officiating.
Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
