JAMES MELVIN CARDWELL
1927 - 2013


James Melvin "Bud" Cardwell, long-time, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on January 26, 1927, in Chandler, and departed this life on September 8, 2013, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years.
Bud was the son of Floyd and Edna Lenore Ashley Cardwell.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II
Bud married Rosetta Wiley on September 15, 1972, in Chandler.
He worked for Curry Funeral Home and then Curry-Parks Funeral Home for 30+ years.
Bud was of the Baptist faith.
His parents, his wife, one son, David; one daughter, Judy; two grandsons, Jason Michael and Christopher Wayne; two sisters, and two brothers preceded Bud in death.
Survivors include three sons, Everett Guinn of Chandler; Ronnie Guinn of Chandler and Carl Guinn of Choctaw, Oklahoma; two sisters, Rita Green of Kansas and Doris Hoyt of Kansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Rossville Cemetery, Rossville, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
