ELMER ANDERSON CANARY OBITUARY

ELMER A. CANARY
1936 - 2010


Elmer A. Canary was born May 19, 1936 at Boston Pool, Oklahoma to Austin Cromwell and Lottie Vashti Canary.
He graduated from Newcastle High School.
Elmer became an electrician and worked for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1141. He was currently a member of Rosh Pinah.
Elmer loved to do many things including going quail hunting, being around animals and livestock, and working in the garden. He was a sports fan and he loved good cooking! His music interests ranged from old time gospel music to Lawrence Welk to Hee Haw!
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Lloyd Canary and an older brother, Clyde Leon Canary.
Survivors include his wife, Joan of the home; his former wife, Dollie June Canary; four children, Todd A., Arlin Q., Amber R. and Natalie N. Canary; four brothers, Alan, Willie, Roger and Alfred Canary; one sister, Bonnie Stowers; five grandchildren; and many other family members including cousins, nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends.
Memorial service was held Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at 10:00 a. m., at Vondel L. Smith funeral home, 6934 S. Western, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Interment followed at Jamison Cemetery, Jamison, Oklahoma {8 miles NE of McLoud, Oklahoma}.
