MINDY JANELL CALGER
1953 - 2015


Mindy Janell Calger was born on September 18, 1953, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, January 29, 2015, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 61.
Mindy, the daughter of Charles Emery and Helen Coleman Smith, was a resident of Prague.
She graduated from Prague High School with the Class of 1971.
She married Danny Paul Calger on December 23, 1976, in Konawa, Oklahoma. They remained married until his death in 2011.
Mindy's parents, husband, sister, Mary Ann Gregory, sister-in-law, Ruthie Smith, and brothers-in-law, Deryle Schima and Edwin Day preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Brad Smith of Prague; and Paul and Angela Calger of Amarillo, Texas; one grand child, Baylee Calger of Amarillo, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Regina Smith of Prague; Jerry and Sharon Smith of Prague; and Sam and Linda Smith of Prague; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carley Day of Great Bend, Kansas; Joyce and Gene Ellison of Prague; Francis and T. J. Simek of Prague; and Sue Schima of Prague; as well as other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.
Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
