CHARLES DAVID BUTLER
1957 - 2008


Charles “Chuck” Butler, Perkins resident, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2008 at his residence at the age of 51 years.
The son of the late Ben Butler and Marjorie Macom Butler, Chuck was born on January 27, 1957 in Eufaula, Oklahoma and was reared and educated in the Tryon and Perkins area.
He was united in marriage to Terry Lore on June 26, 1976 and to this union three children, Brandi, Rose and Jake were born.
Chuck had worked in the oil field prior to his illness; he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Brandi Butler and Cale Butler, both of Stillwater; Rose Devers and Jake Butler, both of Perkins; three grandchildren, Dylan Devers, Devon Devers and Kole Butler; twelve brothers and sisters including, Margie Anderson of Perkins; Cathy Day of Yale; Don Butler of Cushing; Rick Butler of Stillwater; Joanie McVey of Perry; Carolyn Savory of Perkins; Frank Butler of Perkins; Robin Miller of Chandler; Missie Berlowitz of Cushing; Belinda Fowler of Glencoe; Rusty Butler of Tryon; and Becky Hale of Perkins; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Benny Butler, Bill Butler and one infant brother.
Services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christian Union Church in Tryon with Reverend Ted Gibson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Tryon Cemetery.
