FANNIE JOSEPHINE BURCHETT
1917 - 2011


Fannie Josephine “Josie” Burchett was born October 28, 1917, near Warwick, and departed this life Tuesday, February 22, 2011, in Chandler, at the age of 93.
Josie, the daughter of Russell and Nancy Katherine Henson Duncan, was a longtime resident of Chandler. She married Curtis Nelson Burchett May 2, 1936, at Warwick.
Josie was a homemaker, worked with her husband in the county store and was a very avid gardener and was of the Baptist faith.
Her parents, husband, one son, Carl Burchett, four sisters, and two brothers preceded Josie in death.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Frankie Burchette, of Meeker; Glen and Helen Burchett, of Cypress, Texas; Jerry and Dora Burchett, of Chandler; one daughter and son-in-law, Fern and Ray Helm, of Lagrange, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Doris Burchett, of Lexington; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and John Groillo, of Enid; one brother and sister-in-law, Lindy and Betty Duncan, of Coweta; one brother-in-law, Glen Newell, of Idaho; thirteen grandchildren; twenty nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler.
Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
