LEOTA MAE BROWN
1928 - 2015


Leota Mae Goodnight Brown, former Sparks, Oklahoma resident was born on October 7, 1928 in Sparks, Oklahoma, and departed this life on March 10, 2015, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years.
Leota was the daughter of George and Myrtle Fowler Goodnight.
She married Leon Allen Brown on May 28, 1947 in Howard, Kansas.
Leota worked as a seamstress for many years and was a long-time member of the Chandler First Baptist Church.
Her parents, husband, and two brothers, preceded Leota in death.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Susan Brown of Edmond, Oklahoma; two daughters and son-in-law, Annette and Carroll Earp of Chandler; Kathy Newman of Cushing, Oklahoma; one sister, Georgie Cunningham of Chandler; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren; as well other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March, 13, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Chandler, with Rev. Rick Blackwell officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Oklahoma Baptist Home's for Children, 3800 North May Ave., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73112-9750, or Chandler First Baptist Church, 912 West 1st St., Chandler, Oklahoma, 74834.
