FLOSSIE LAVINA BRIDGES
1927 - 2010


Flossie Lavina Danker Bridges, long-time Wellston, Oklahoma, resident was born on August 30, 1927, in Wellston, Oklahoma, and departed this life on January 30, 2010, at her home at the age of 82 years.
Flossie was the daughter of Arthur D. and Luceal Brown Danker.
She attended the Happy Hill School near Warwick, Oklahoma.
She married Alvin Bridges on April 8, 1947 in Reno, Nevada.
She was a homemaker and worked at the Chandler Baseball Camp for many years.
She was a member of the Chandler Southern Baptist Church.
Her parents, husband, one brother, two sisters, and two grandchildren preceded Flossie in death.
Survivors include, three sons and daughter-in-laws, Burton L. and Mary Bridges of Wellston; Charles L. and Jane Bridges of Chandler; Deveral D. and Robin Bridges of Chandler; four sisters, Betty Morton of Skiatook; Alice Patterson of Sparks; Doris Burchett of Lexington; Geneva Keef of Chandler; one brother, Doyle Danker of Manhattan, Kansas; one sister-in-law, Carol Sue Helton, of Shawnee; two brothers-in-law, Delroy Miller of Chandler; Darrel Stephens of Dardanelle, Arkansas; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at Chandler Southern Baptist Church in Chandler with the Rev.Keith Henley officiating.
Burial followed at Star Valley Cemetery, Chandler, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
