FRANK J. BREEDEN
1940 - 2011


Frank J. Breeden, age 71, a longtime Law enforcement officer of Tryon, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at his home in Tryon.
He was born on August 26, 1940 in Perkins, Oklahoma to the late George and Thelma Nicholson Breeden.
Frank grew up in Tryon and entered the U.S. Army, serving his country during the Vietnam Era. After returning from the service, a special graduation was held in his honor in 1965.
Frank married the love of his life Jeanette Carder on April 28, 1964 in Tryon, Oklahoma.
He worked for Kerr McGee for seven years. He began his career in Law Enforcement as the Chief of Police in Tryon, Deputy Sheriff for Lincoln County, and finally Sheriff of Lincoln County. He decided to retire, but that wasn't for Frank, so he went back to work as the Chief of Police in Tryon and later worked for the Iowa Tribe Police Department then back to Lincoln County as a Deputy. He loved Law Enforcement and it was a big part of his life. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Frank was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Tryon. He also served on the Volunteer Fire Department for 23 years, also serving on the Perkins/Tryon School Board. He enjoyed going coon hunting and attended the World Hunt for four years, also enjoyed fishing, camping and rodeos. Frank loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of the home; daughters, Jeanene Harris and Tony Starling of Tryon; Stacey Jones and J. P. of Perry; Chelsea Breeden and Blake Hennessey of Tryon; sisters, Norma Leigh of Morrison and Louise Powers of Lavaca, Arizona; sister-in-laws, Mary Breeden of Tryon and Dorothy Breeden of Tryon; grandchildren, Ryan Howard and Audra Adame; Charles Hinkle and Keona; Jesse and Deanna Hinkle; Kirsten Jones, Meagan Jones, Jourdyn Hennessey; great grandchildren Blayne, Koden, Brogan, Bryson, Mikayla Howard, Mara McCutchen, Sadie, Sierra and Delaney Hinkle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack Breeden and Don Breeden, father-in-law ,Curtis Carder and mother-in-law, Betty Carder.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Assembly of God Church in Tryon.
Reverend Lorn Starling and Reverend Ted Gibson will officiate.
Interment will follow at Tryon Cemetery, Tryon, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
