WILLIAM FORREST BENNETT
1927 - 2015


William Forrest Bennett was born in Vian, Oklahoma on January 9, 1927 and departed this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the age of 88 years.
William was the son of William and Amy Longshore Bennett.
He was a resident of Stroud since 2007.
William was in the United States Army where he served in World War II.
He was affiliated with the Church of Christ and was a farmer.
He married Janie L. Teal on October 16, 1951 in Oklahoma. Janie preceded him in death on June 28, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Amy and Tim Sullivan of Stroud, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Brittney Nichols of Oklahoma City and April Rogers of Stroud. three great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be held at the Stroud Cemetery on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Will fine officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
