RUTH ANN BELITZ
1930 - 2012

Ruth Ann Cloud Belitz was born on January 21, 1930 in Francis, Oklahoma.
Her parents were Henry Louis and Ruby May Fuhrman Cloud.
Her father was a Methodist minister who served over forty years in various Oklahoma communities and as chaplain at the Granite reformatory.
Ruth Ann had three sisters and one brother.
She graduated from Wellston High School in 1948, and married Ray Herman Belitz in November 1948. They had two children, Gary Ray Belitz and Stanley Wayne Belitz.
Ruth Ann departed this life at the age of 82.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings.
Ruth Ann valued faith, family and friends in her life. For her, they all went together and became part of her mission to serve and use her life as an example in the way she believed her Heavenly Father and Savior had guided her. Her faith was one that was lived "day after day after day".
People who knew her never doubted how much she believed in the power and love of God. They also soon learned how much she loved them and that she was willing to do anything she could to share life's experiences, good and bad, with them.
Her love and pride of her family was unequaled, no matter the circumstance. She dearly loved her parents and siblings and was proud of her American Indian ancestry. She was proud of her husband, a veteran of two wars and who was appointed postmaster of Wellston. In raising two sons, she was the perfect example of a "loving mother" who attended to all needs of the body and heart - - no matter their ages. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who called her "Granny", and spent countless hours attending their activities and being with them. She was present for them, and an endless supporter in all they pursued. She also played an important role in her nieces and nephews lives and they all knew she would do anything for them. Her pride in her family was the source of great joy and happiness to her.
Ruth Ann was a serving leader in community, church and family.
She had a career in banking, and continued using her talents as she served as treasurer for both the Wellston Schools and the Wellston United Methodist Church.
Well respected, dependable and loving, she was the living example of a woman who was dedicated to others and never wanted anyone to worry about her. She was independent and provided countless hours of assistance and friendship to her friends in Wellston and the surrounding communities.
She is survived by her two sons and their wives, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren with two "on the way", numerous nieces and nephews and an extended family. All loved her very much, as she loved them.
Donations can be made in Ruth Ann's honor to the Wellston United Methodist Church, Retired United Methodist Ministers, and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
Visitation for Ruth Ann will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Her family would like to invite friends to join them Sunday from 3:00 till 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home for a reception and visitation.
