RAYMOND DAVON BAYLISS

Raymond Davon Bayliss was born in Oklahoma City on September 12, 1953 and departed this life in Oklahoma City on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the age of 63 years.

Raymond was the son of Richard James and Dorothy Mae (Reeves) Bayliss. Raymond married Carolyn Sue Smith in Forney, TX on June 24, 1972. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of the home, two daughters and son-in-laws, Brandi and Jason Ashford of Edmond, OK and Kim and Steve Newsom of Bartlesville, OK; four grandchildren, Faith and Jonathan Ashford of Edmond, OK and Christopher and Kennedy Newsom of Bartlesville, OK; Two brothers, John L. Bayliss and wife Sharon of Warner, OK and Tony Pait of Seville, TX; Four sisters, Dottie Jean Hunnington of Little River, SC; Bennie Lynn Juvrud of Greenville, TX, Donna Lynn Bloomfield of Mesquite, TX, Teresa Hollender and husband Rodney of Porum, OK; Stepfather Ben Bloomfield of Greenville, TX as well as many other family and friends.

He was a resident of Stroud for the past twenty years. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Hostess Wonder Bread where he worked as a mechanic. After he retired, he worked as a Hunting Guide for Davenport Farms, a Taxidermist with Bill Sturgeon at Deer Creek Taxidermy and Eldon Gordon at The Wilderness Center in Stroud.

A Memorial service will be held at The Wilderness Center in Stroud, OK on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with his nephew Archie Engledow officiating. Service is under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
