PHILIP EARL BASS
1939 - 2010


Philip Earl Bass was born in Oklahoma City November 1, 1939 to Earl and Thelma Bass.
He attended Stand Watie Elementary, Jackson Junior High School and Capitol Hill High School. After high school Philip worked for the family business, Bass Manufacturing Company.
In 1966 he went to work for Ralph O. Wright Commission Company at the Oklahoma National Stockyards. In 1977 Philip moved his family to Dibble Oklahoma where he began working at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Lawton, Oklahoma. Philip was employed there until his retirement in 1992.
In 2002 he moved to Stonewall, Oklahoma. In 2004 he married his wife Zinaida, later moving to Ada until the time of his death.
Philip was preceded in death by his father, Earl Bass and most recently his mother, Thelma L. Bass.
He is survived by his wife Zinaida of the home; sons, Mark and his wife Cecelia, Michael and his wife Lori and their children Emily and Cameron; daughter, Lori and her husband Robert and their children Lacey and Shelby; step-son, Maksim; sisters, Sharon Newcomb and husband Gene; Linda Wright and her husband Jerry; best friend of over 60 years Joe Spencer; and numerous cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
Philip accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a young man and was baptized at Agnew Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. He is now at home along with his father and beloved mother.
A graveside funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 21 at the Rossville Cemetery in Rossville, Oklahoma under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home, Wellston.
