ROBERT LESLIE BALLARD
1957 - 2013


Robert "Bob" Leslie Ballard was born on September 14, 1957, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, and went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 25, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 55, as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident on Thursday, February 21.
Bob, the son of Elmer and Betty Armstrong Ballard, was a resident of Meeker.
He married Rita Harper on August 29, 1977 in Gainesville, Texas.
He spent over 30 years working for Hiland Dairy.
He enjoyed fishing and he liked to eat, but Bob's favorite thing to do was spend time with his three grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and a niece, Shelly Wilhite.
A trust fund has been set up at BancFirst in Meeker for Bob's grandsons.
Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rita; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cindy Ballard of Meeker; his grandsons, R. J., John and Andy Ballard of Meeker; brothers Alan Ballard and Bill Ballard, of Meeker; and Calvin Ballard and Tommy Ballard of California; sisters, Karen Small of West Virginia; and Patsy Peeler of California; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., at Morningstar Baptist Church in Meeker with Jerry Jackson and Joe Jones officiating.
Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
