PATRICIA ILENE BAKER-SHARP
1942 - 2015


Patricia Ilene Baker-Sharp, 72, passed away in Cushing, Oklahoma on March 9, 2015.
She was born December 17, 1942 on the family farm in Tryon to Elmo and Florence Mae Baker.
She attended school and graduated from Tryon High School.
On December 19, 1958, she married Albert Leon Sharp. They remained together until his death in 2005.
She worked as a store manager and also as the postmaster in Tryon.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Florence Baker; husband, Albert Sharp; sons, Jerry Leon Sharp and Steven Ray Sharp; and brother, Butch Baker.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Sharp-Windiate; grandchildren, Andrea {Isaac} Davenport, Justin {Christine} Windiate, Stephanie {Ben} Gibbs, Brandon Sharp {fiancé, Jacqualin Cole}, Kristen {David} Hoffhines, Steven {Gabby} Mandeville and Ali Sharp; and five great-grandchildren with one on the way.
She is also survived by two brothers, Charles {Chrissy Lynn} Baker and Ronald Baker {Melvin Billins}; son-of-the-heart, Matthew Collins and family; daughter-in-law, Sherri Sharp; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will include Mathew Collins, Doyle Allen, Justin Windiate, Brandon Sharp, Steven Mandeville, Isaac Davenport, Ben Gibbs, and David Hoffhines.
The family requests memorial donations be made in Patricia’s name to the breast cancer or heart disease organization of your choice.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at Strode Funeral Home, Stillwater.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 13 at Tryon Assembly of God in Tryon, Oklahoma with Brother Steven Grotheer and Brother Lorn Starling officiating.
Interment will follow at Tryon Cemetery.
Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
