COLONEL DAVID LEROY BABCOCK
1950 - 2013


Col. David Leroy "Dave" Babcock Retired, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on February 17, 1950, Harper, Kansas, and departed this life on September 26, 2013, at his home in Chandler, at the age of 63 years.
Dave was the son of Chester and Dorothy Carter Babcock.
He married Carol Watt.
Dave served in the United States Air Force and the Oklahoma Air National Guard. He was past commander of the 137th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, 137th Air Refueling Wing at Will Rodgers Air National Guard Base.
Dave attended the Southern Baptist Church in Chandler.
His parents preceded Dave in death.
Survivors include, Carol, his wife of 39 years, one son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Mindy Babcock of Wake Forest, North Carolina, two daughters and son-in-law, Amy Babcock of Denver, Colorado and Diane and Matt Wolfgram of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, one brother and sister-in-law, Rob and Michelle Babcock of Lawrence, Kansas, one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and Joe Harding of Harper, Kansas and one granddaughter, Mabree as well as other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Chandler, with Rev. Keith Henley officiating.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2013, at Harper Cemetery, Harper, Kansas.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma
