RACHEL AVERY
1924 - 2010


Rachel McCool Avery was born on May 3, 1924, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, November 11, 2010, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 86.
Rachel, the daughter of Clarence and Camella Baldwin McCool, was a resident of Chandler, Oklahoma.
She married Willie “Bill” Miller on December 13, 1942 and after his death she married Gordon Avery on July 11, 2010.
Rachel was very involved in her church and loved the Lord.
She was a homemaker and great cook.
Her parents, first husband, one sister and two brothers preceded Rachel in death.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Lee Morton of Chandler, Oklahoma and Doris and Mike Payne of Chandler, Oklahoma; sister, Janice Martin of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma; brothers, Forrest McCool of Carnegie, Oklahoma; Rex McCool of Bethany, Oklahoma; Clarence McCool of Comanche, Oklahoma and Earl McCool of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two granddaughters, Amanda Berry and Wendy Sickels and two great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 15, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Living Waters Church in Meeker, Oklahoma with Rev. Leon Williams officiating.
Interment followed at Rossville Cemetery near Wellston, Oklahoma.
Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
