WILLIAM R. ANDERSON SR.
1924 - 2007


Funeral services for William R. "Bill" Anderson, Sr., 83, Oklahoma City, formerly of Sparks, were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Minneha Freewill Baptist Church at McLoud. Burial was in White Dove Cemetery at Sparks.
Mr. Anderson died October 15. He was born February 8, 1924 at Sparks, the son of Orie R. and Louana Barringer Anderson.
He was reared at Sparks and attended the rural Bethel Grove School east of Sparks, Davenport High School and Prague High School.
He was married to Louella Hall of Sparks July 19, 1947 and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July.
He worked as a cement mason for forty years, leaving a legacy of beautiful cement work in the Oklahoma City area.
He was a member of the Minneha Freewill Baptist Church at McLoud.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Orie Anderson and two sisters, Glennis and Grace.
Surviving are his wife, Louella, a son, William R. "Will" Anderson Jr., daughter and son-in-law, Marcella "Marcie" and Atha Brooks, four grandchildren, Lora, Keith, Corina and Lola Lydia; three great granddaughters, Melanie, Ashlee and Taylor and several in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Baggerly Funeral Home South, Oklahoma City, had charge of arrangements.
