ROSELLA ELIZABETH ANDERSON
1919 - 2008


Rosella Elizabeth Gray Anderson was born on August 21, 1919 in Chester, Pennsylvania, and departed this life on Sunday, September 28, 2008 in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.
Rosella, the daughter of Frank Benjamin and Pearl Ellen Guessford Gray, was a resident of Prague.
She married Roger William Anderson on April 5, 1940, in Elam, Pennsylvania.
While Roger was a Civil Service employee in Germany, Rosella volunteered with the American Red Cross and worked as a Grey Lady in a hospital.
She was a long-time member of the Prague United Methodist Church and was a faithful member of the United Methodist Women.
Rosella was a Sunday School teacher, a Brownie Scout troop leader and Cub Scout den mother while her children were growing up.
She loved to sew, crochet, and embroidery.
Her parents and two brothers, Robert and Samuel Gray, preceded Rosella in death.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Roger Anderson of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Ginger Anderson of Tulsa; daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Hollis Lackey of Arlington, Texas; Mariel and Jerry Hill of Oklahoma City; brother, Frank Gray of Pennsylvania; sisters, Dorothy Baldwin of Pennsylvania; Ruth Ross of Florida; Pearl Wright, of Pennsylvania; Emily Snyder of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be made in memory of Rosella to Prague Memorial Hospital, Drawer S, Prague, Oklahoma 74864 or Prague United Methodist Church, 7901 NBU, Prague, Oklahoma 74864.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., at Prague United Methodist Church in Prague with Rev. Dyton Owen and Rev. Sharon Capron officiating.
Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Arlington Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
