MATTIE B. ADAMS
1922 - 2010


Mattie B. Chandler Adams, 88, of Midwest City passed away June 15, 2010.
She was born in Ada, Oklahoma to Clarence and Onah Chandler on May 22, 1922.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon K. Adams, Sr.; three sisters, Osey Bagley, Jewel Bagley and twin sister Hattie Nelson, and a brother, Dorsey Chandler.
She is survived by her children Eldon K. {Ken} Adams, Jr. and wife Teresa of Oklahoma City, James L. Adams and wife Darlene of Oklahoma City, and Barry M. Adams and wife Barbara of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; grandchildren, Shazon McKinney and husband John of Prairie Village, Kansas, Candis Thornton and husband Patrick of Nashville, Tennessee, Jennifer Lair and husband Brad of Oklahoma City; Jessica Llyod and husband Karel of Clayton, Norht Carolina; Jill Adams of Raleigh, North Carolina; Daphne Gafford and husband Mark of Prairie Village, Kansas; Kimberly Adams of Kansas City, Missouri; Craig Foster of Oklahoma City; and Dawnell Foster of Oklahoma City and five great grandchildren, Maeve McKinney, Stella McKinney, Andrew Thornton, Karson Lloyd and Nicholas Thornton.
A reception for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening, June 17, 2010 in Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Service.
Her service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 at Community Church and burial to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, Oklahoma under the direction of Ford Funeral Service.
