Mr. Erickson surveyed this cemetery in 1996. Dudley Cemetery is located one mile north and 2.2 miles west of Carney, or 3 miles east of the Belton Cemetery. It has been long abandoned. A mile to the north was the "town" of Dudley, and adjacent to the cemetery was the old Dudley Church. When canvassed in 1996, in addition to the 14 readable markers, I found 17 cinder block or sandstone markers and 13 rusted funeral home markers. The area was totally overgrown. One would never guess there was a cemetery there unless given specific directions.
If you have family buried in this cemetery and would like to add their information, an obit, tombstone photo, funeral home record or memorial card to this website, please send Susan Gabel an e-mail.
