BLANCHE FISHER SESTAK
1907 - 2004


Blanche Fisher Sestak was born on May 10, 1907, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, June 29, 2004, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 97.
Blanche, the daughter of William and Rosa Bouda Fisher, was a resident of Norman.
She married Joe John Sestak on August 9, 1927, in Chandler, Oklahoma.
He preceded her in death on May 10, 1990.
Blanche was a switchboard operator for the City of Oklahoma City for many years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Prague.
Her parents, one son, one brother, and one grandson also preceded Blanche in death.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Rose Benda of Norman; Lee Marie and Charley Miskovsky of Oklahoma City; Eva M. and Bob Gehle of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Elizabeth Kolar of Prague; Irene Pryor of Norman; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 1 at the Czech National Cemetery in Prague with George Williams officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
Memorials may be made to a hospice or other charity.
