MARY ROSE ONDEREK
1902 - 2000


Mary Rose Spaniel Onderek died Thursday in Oklahoma City. She was 98.
She was born December 7, 1902, in Smithville, Texas.
She was the daughter of John and Antonie Tomanec Spaniel.
She had been a resident of Bethany for the last seven years. She previously lived in the Prague area.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church.
Mrs. Onderek was also a member of the ZCBJ Lodge #46 in Prague.
She married John J. Onderek on August 30, 1922. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1959.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and two sons, Jimmy C. Onderek and John J. Onderek.
Survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law, Vi and Garland Holmes of Oklahoma City and Mary A. Martin-Geddis and husband, Bill Geddis of Oroville, California; two daughters-in-law, Linda Onderek of Marysville, California and Georgia Onderek of Edmond; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Czech National Cemetery in Prague with the Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
