JOE LEJSKA JR.
1925 - 2003


Joe Lejska Jr., 78, died Wednesday, December 17, at his Shawnee residence.
He was born May 3, 1925, in Belmont, to Joseph and Justina Simecek Lejska.
He was a construction survey engineer with the Oklahoma State Highway Department for 25 years before retiring to care for his ailing father.
He married Shirley Marie Washburn on July 4, 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Annie and Gustin.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of the home; one niece, Cordelia Nichols of Shawnee; and two great-nieces as well as numerous friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Smith and the Rev. Ed Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in the Czech National Cemetery in Prague.
