HELEN JEAN CHEATWOOD
1929 - 1996


Helen Jean Spaniel Cheatwood, 67, departed this life Tuesday, June 4, 1996.
She was born January 3, 1929 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Frank Joe and Anna Spaniel.
She married Floyd Lee Cheatwood in Ada, Oklahoma on March 14, 1948.
Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Anna; stepmother, Carrie Spaniel and her father, Frank Joe Spaniel.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd, of the home; a son, Tommy Lynn Cheatwood of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Marilyn Kaye Cheatwood of Oklahoma City; and Susan Anne and husband Michael Chavez of Del City; her beloved grandson, Victor Franklin Chavez; a brother and his wife, Frank Edward and Joan Spaniel of Kennewick, Washington; two sisters, Josephine Kolar of Prague; and Janie Milford and husband Lester Larrel of Duncan; four sisters-in-law, Lorine and Raymond Reynolds of Midwest City; June Cook of Salem, Oregon; Grace Blott of Midwest City; and Cleta Cheatwood of Lawton; one brother-in-law, Charles Cheatwood and wife Carolyn of San Angelo, Texas; many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the 4th Floor nursing staff and physicians at Southwest Medical Center who attended Mrs. Cheatwood in her final illness.
Funeral services will be at the Hunter Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Friday with graveside services to follow at the Czech National Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma.
