ROBERT JOHN CASTOE
1923 - 2008


Robert John Castoe was born May 2, 1923 in Witts Springs, Arkansas to Member Elizabeth Drury and William Castoe.
He passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.
Mr. Castoe grew up in Arkansas and married the love of his life, Avis Lee Holman on April 3, 1943 in Prague, Oklahoma.
He was a heavy truck mechanic. He worked for Hudiburg Chevrolet in Prague.
He and his wife moved to Oklahoma City in 1950 where he worked for American Trailers for twenty seven years.
He also worked with the Oklahoma School Book Fairs for eighteen years.
His passions were his family and his garden.
He was preceded in death by his wife Avis on December 22, 2004; as well as his infant daughter, Linda Kay; his parents and ten siblings.
Those to mourn his loss are his daughter and husband, Barbara and Jimmy Sparks of Yukon; two sons, Bobby D. of Lake Texoma; and Jimmy Mac of Yukon; two sisters, Sylvia Price and Syble Sullins Tarlton; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and numerous friends.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday August 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Czech National Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma.
Services under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service of Mustang, Oklahoma.
