Danah Irene Knight passed away peacefully at her home in Carney, OK, on Monday, July 24, 2017. She was 74. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10AM Friday, July 28, 2017 at Carney Cemetery in Carney, OK. Chaplain Lance Keeling will officiate.
Danah was born December 18, 1942 in Mulhall, OK, to Floyd Jasper and Eva Viola (Majors) Higgins. She grew up in the Coyle community and graduated from Coyle High School in 1960. She worked as an office director for William E. Davis Food Distributor for 18 years. Some of her hobbies include fishing, cooking, working with computers, and last but not least, her grandchildren. She loved them dearly.
Survivors include one son, James Knight of Stillwater, OK; one daughter, Glenda Lee Tyson of Sayre, OK; seven grandchildren, Michael, Rebecca, Thomas, Chase, Sarah, Cutter, and Stasha; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter; one sister, Mildred Faye Ryan of Mulhall, OK; two brothers, Kenneth Higgins of Stillwater, OK and Gareld Higgins of Perkins, OK.
She was preceded in death by her soul mate, Roy Brooks on July 11, 2017; her parents; five brothers, Raymond, Howard, Otis, Dee, and Bobby; and one grandson, Christopher.
