Mona "Mozelle" Gaither, 90, of Poteau died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, in Mannford.

Mozelle was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Poteau to Curtis and Mattie (Griffith) Garrett. She retired from Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. Mozelle was a member of Community of Christ in Poteau. She loved to travel, watching sports on TV (especially football). Mozelle was a very caring, loving and thoughtful lady. She had many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles J. Gaither; sisters, Louise Akins and Mamie Jo Garrett; brothers, Woodrow and Monroe Garrett; grandson, Chuck Davison.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and John Carroll of Poteau; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Betty Jo Davison of Mannford; sisters, her twin, Madge Meisner of Kansas City, Doris Nelson of Poteau; seven grandchildren, Teresa, Cindy, Kimatha, Brent, Kris, and Ashley; 11 great-grandchildren, Matt, Kameron, Braxton, Samantha, Schylar, Megan, Conner, Kenneth, Jalee, Jarrett, Triton; three great-great-grandchildren, Gracie, Kamden and Easton; other relatives and loved ones.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with Greg McGowen and Sally McGowen officiating.

Burial will be in Vaughn Cemetery , Gilmore. Pallbearers will be Brent, Schylar, Conner, Kenneth, Jarrett and Kameron.

Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
