Betty Jewell Davidson

Betty Jewel Davison, age 64, of Hugo, a homemaker, died June 7, 1999, in Hugo.
She was born March 20, 1935, in Konawa.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Orville Battles and Earl Davidson; and one son, James Davis Battles, and she was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by six daughters, Janice Sweeten of Poteau, Levitha Ruth Davidson of Shady Point, Lou Pyle of Poteau, Josie Lynn Davidson of Poteau, Betty Jean LeWallen of Heavener, and Emma Joyce Cappaert of Paradise, Texas; one son, Manual Battles of Hugo; three sisters, Mary Boswell of Parsons, Kan., Floy Mae Barkley of Poteau, Artie Deleplank of Poteau; three brothers, Wiley Phillips of Maricopa, Calif., Joe Phillips of Bixby, and George Phillips of Poteau; 22 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and, a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Shady Point First Assembly of God Church at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 10. Burial will be at Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point. Rev. Mike Bunch will officiate, arrangements were under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
