PANAMA - Orvel D. Poteet, 89, of Panama died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in Fort Smith. He was a rancher and a musician.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Royal Oaks Cemetery in Panama under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
He is survived by his wife, Inez; two daughters, Erma Roza of Wister and Patricia Gene Ashcraft of Panama; two sons, Richard Eugene Poteet of Panama and Lester Lee Poteet of Lorado, Calif.; one sister, Cordia Alexander of California; one brother, Virgil of Spiro; 12 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
