Rev. Thomas (Tommy) E. Williams, 77, of Henryetta, formerly of Poteau, passed away Sept. 10, 2009, in Henryetta.

He was born Sept. 22, 1931, in Shady Point to Thomas Jackson and Mary (McNeil) Williams. He was a retired civil service employee of numerous installations and a retired United Pentecostal minister. He married Marie Childers on Jan. 8, 1955, in Stigler.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 49 years.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Sheila and David Patton of Hartford, Ark.; two brothers, Bill Williams of McAlester and Earl Williams of South Carolina; two sisters, Lora Gray of Florida and Melony Morris of Talihina; three grandchildren, Joshua and wife Julie Bauer of Morris, Caleb Bauer of Hartford, Rachel Bauer of Spiro; four great-grandchildren, Kaelynn, Peyton, Isaiah and Javan Bauer; and numerous other relatives, friends and loved ones.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau with Rev. Lloyd Carr and Rev.

Joshua Bauer officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.

Pallbearers will be Rev. John Proctor, Rev. James Stewart, Rev. Kevin Womack, Bud Killion, Royce (Blue) Gullick and Caleb Bauer. Honorary pallbearer will be David Patton.

The family will greet friends from 3 until 5 p.m.

Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau.
