Norma Walden
Nov. 16, 1921 - Sept. 30, 2012
Norma Walden, 90, of Wister died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at her home. Norma was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Leflore to Sherman and Nellie (Harris) Dehart. /
She was a clerk at Wister Food Market. Norma was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wister.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; her grandson, Casey Branstetter; great-granddaughter, Skye Lee Amos; sister, Betty Brooks; and brothers-in-law, Roy Brooks and Wayne Powell.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Danny Minor of Wister; three sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Linda Walden of Wister, Gary and Darlene Walden of Beggs, and Steve and Laura Walden of Wister; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Sherman Cox of Oklahoma City and Rosemary Powell of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at First United Methodist Church in Wister with the Rev. Ed Harwood, Will Langrehr and Lamar Ford officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Poteau.
Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
