Vesta P. Davis Young

POTEAU - Vesta P. Davis Young, 89, of Poteau died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, in Poteau. She was a homemaker and a member of Pentecostal Church. She was the widow of Big Jim Davis.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday in Evans and Miller Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau.
She is survived by her husband, Riley; three daughters, Lucretia Latta of Prairie Grove, Reba Stansbury of Oklahoma City and Michael Faye Jackson of Clayton, Okla.; three sons, Veachel, Leonard and Damon Davis, all of Poteau; three sisters, Bessie Williamson of Panama, Clem Elizabeth Lewis of Poteau and Levina Admire of Grand Prairie, Texas; 31 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Doug Meyer Davis, Mark Hale, Chad Davis, Danny Jackson, David Stansbury, Damon Davis II, Gerald McCray, Billy Gibson, Andrew Marshall and Mike Crook.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
