John S. Carbrey Sr.

Services for John S. Carbrey, Sr., 77, Poteau, Oklahoma, who died Saturday, April 21, 1979, at the LeFlore County Memorial Hospital in Poteau, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Poteau First Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Poteau by the Evans Funeral Home.
Born April 5, 1902, in Larkhall, Scotland, he was a retired coal miner and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pansy; a son, John David of Smithville, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Stephanie and David of Poteau; two step-grandchildren, Steven and Shelley of Smithville; a niece, Joann Bowen, of Baxite, Arkansas.
