Michael Duane Anderson, 60, of Panama, passed away Oct. 15 in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born June 30, 1948 in Fort Smith, Ark. and was a co-owner/operator of Quality Electric Supply in Poteau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W. C. (Bill) and Dorothy (Williams) Anderson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Darla Tobey Anderson of the home; daughter and son in law, Casey and Billy Leaptrot; brother and sister in law, Rick and Becky Anderson; three sisters in law and their husbands, Dana and Larry Hamilton, Debra and David Bradberry, Denise and Steve Wagner; brother in law and wife, Dearl and Cindy Tobey; mother in law, Dolores Tobey of Spiro; nephews, Chris Anderson and family, Terrick Ragan and family, Trey Tobey; nieces, Laney Anderson, Taira Wilson and family, Kalee Tobey and numerous other family, friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 10 a.m. at The Assembly of God Church in Panama with Rev. Brian Smith and Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.
Pallbearers will be members of the Panama Fire Department. Honorary pallbearers will be Donny Golihare, Bug Williamson, Coy Simpson, Dick Klahn, Hazel Mabry, and Mark Cox. Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, is in charge of arrangements.
