Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Owens, 64, of Talihina, were held January 31 at Greenhill Baptist Church in Talihina with Rev. Mike Mings officiating.

Burial  followed  in the New Talihina Cemetery.

Benjamin Franklin Owens was born November 27, 1935 at Cravens, Oklahoma, and passed away at the Choctaw Nation Indian Hospital, Talihina, Oklahoma.on   January 26, 2000.

He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He and Imogene Bacon were married on July 9, 1977 in Talihina, Oklahoma
