SPIRO - Phillip Swafford, 92, of Spiro died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 26, 1909, in Roff, Okla. He was a retired cattleman, rancher and a construction worker and of the Assembly of God faith.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Emmaline; a daughter, Doris McClain of Greenwood; a son, Aaron Swafford of Spiro; one grandchild, Jami Hamby; and two great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed until noon today.
