Mary Margaret (Weintraut) Maden

Mary Margaret Maden, 86, of Pocola, passed away December 16, 2010, in Poteau.

She was born November 20, 1924 in Shelbyville, Ind. She was a homemaker, having retired from the Pocola Nursing Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Joeseph and Helen (Mertz) Weintraut; child, Kenneth Maden; husband, Matthew Maden; granddaughter, Shanna Short; and great grandchildren, Jacob Maden Jr., Kara Lyn Maden, and Alexius Williams.

She is survived by four daughters, Karen Picker of Hackett, Ark., Elizabeth Prall of Lakeland, Fla., Mary Jackson of Fort Smith, Ark., Kathy Skelton of Pocola; three sons and daughters-inlaw, Larry and Phyllis Maden of Fort Smith, Terry and Dorothy Maden of Colfax, Iowa, Anthony Maden of Pocola; 25 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren; numerous other relatives, friends and loved ones.

Funeral services were conducted December 20 at 2 p.m. at Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola, with Rev. Roger Myers officiating.

Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery, Pocola. Pallbearers were James Jackson, Jacob Maden, Eddie Lovell, Terry Prall, Danny Stouffer, and Texas Prall. Honorary Pallbearers were Joshua Maden, Mark Lovell, and Colt Prall.

Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Pocola was in charge of arrangements.
