Ellen Butler

Ellen Butler, 97, of Bokoshe passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church of Panama and very active in the church, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Alamedia (Posey) Pendergrass; her husband, Grady Butler; one daughter, Versa Faye Tucker; two sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Flossie Simpson of Meridian and Ruth Hayes of Marion, Ind.; five grandchildren, Donna Ilart of Meridian, Idaho, Carol Mooney of Grants Pass, Ore. and Michael Burgman of Indiana, Ronald Burgman of Ind. and Judy Quick, all of Ind.; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Linnie Butler of Panama, Winnie Fuller of Pocola and Hazel Rooney of Panama; and a special niece, Charlene Darneal; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at Free Will Baptist Church in Panama with the Rev. David Nolen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Hayden Byrd, Jim Pendergrass, Eulice Butler, Pete Butler, David Butler and Kenneth Butler.
