Steve Beck, a resident of Durant, Oklahoma, passed from this life in Cedar Park, Texas, on September 28, 2017 at the age of 74.

He was born on October 21, 1942 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Olander Thomas Beck and Virginia Julia (Steward) Beck.

Steve attended; high school in Porter, Oklahoma, college at Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma, and his graduate work was done at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He dedicated his life to his work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Steve enjoyed listening to the Blues, a quiet day of fishing, and exploring with his metal detector. He was extremely proud of being a member of the 12 Step Program for 26 years.


Mr. Beck is survived by his sons, Shane Beck, and Cody Beck of Durant, Oklahoma; daughters, Melanie Beck of Virginia, and Stefanie Choate of Cedar Park, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
 

Mr. Beck is preceded in death by his parents, Olander and Virginia Beck; grandparents; and two sisters.
 

Family hour will be from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on October 8, 2017 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.

A graveside service will be at 2 :00 PM on October 9, 2017 at the Bokoshe Cemetery in Bokoshe, Oklahoma with Rev. Dan Reid officiating.
