Roy Dean Coffey, age 78 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on January 10, 2020 in Guthrie. Roy was born on September 2, 1941 in Louellen, Kentucky to Lawrence and Pauline (Houston) Coffey.
 

Roy had lived in Guthrie for the past 20 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He loved spending time with his family and going fishing. Dean had such a big heart and was loved by all who met him. He always said the funniest things and made everyone laugh. He was a great joy to be around. Dean will be greatly missed by all who knew him.


Survivors include is lifelong companion Norma Ward of Guthrie, son Jeff Ward and wife Rhonda of Guthrie, daughter Cindy Palmer and fiancé Larry Speaks of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, brother Johnny Coffey and wife Bonnie of Muskogee, Oklahoma, brother Houston Coffey of Hartshorn, Oklahoma, and sister Mary Pedigo and husband Bobby of Hartshorn, Oklahoma. Roy is also survived by six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and he was loved dearly by his nieces and nephews.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Pauline Coffey, brother Calvin Coffey, and nephew Robbie Coffey.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Mountain Station Cemetery in Latimer County, Oklahoma at 1:00 P.M. with Preacher Bob Deschazer officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
 

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home.
 

The family would like to thank Willow Creek Nursing Home and Companion Health Care.
