Janice Peck Young

Funeral Services for Janice Peck Young were held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 07, 2013 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mountain View, OK. Burial followed in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Mountain View, OK.

She was born March 8, 1941, at home in Mountain View to Roy Robert and Obera Pearl (Taylor) Peck and passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, at her home in Mountain View, OK at the age of 72.

She attended and graduated from Mountain View School in 1958. She then attended Cameron University and received her degree in Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1976.

Janice was united in marriage to Guss Young December 24, 1957, at Mountain View, OK. She was employed at the Carnegie Hospital for many years as well as other places. She was the Director of Nursing at the Carnegie Nursing Home for twenty years.

She is survived by two sons, Guss Wayne Young ll, Ninnekah, OK, Franklin Dean Young, Independence, MO; one daughter, Jana Daylene Hagood and husband, Jeff, Mountain View, OK; grandchildren, Brayden Young Amy Lindsey and husband, Dusty Dakota Young and wife, Whitley, Derrick Young, Chrissy Hagood, Rachel Young, Ross Bright, Robert Franklin Young, Carlena Bayliff, four great grandchildren, Mattyson Lindsey, Dallas Young, Dallon and Destiny Lindsey; two brothers, Roy Edward Peck and wife, Geraldine, Bartlesville, OK, Elvis Peck and wife, Cathy, Childers, TX ; one sister, Jacquetta Peck, Mountain View, OK and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Guss Young.
