Services for Thelma V. Morris, 86, former Minco resident will be Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. graveside at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Officiating will be Jim Ross of the Minco Church of Christ.
Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
Thelma V. Morris was born September 29, 1918 at St. Louis, Oklahoma to Dell D. and Vivian (Flatt) Banta. She died Monday, June 27, 2005 at Snyder, Oklahoma.

Graveside services for Thelma V. Morris, 86, former Minco resident, were held Wednesday, June 29, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Jim Ross of the Minco Church of Christ officiated and the services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
Thelma V. Morris was born September 29, 1918 at St. Louis, Oklahoma to Dell D. and Vivian (Flatt) Banta and she died Monday, June 27, 2005 at Snyder, Oklahoma. She lived in the Minco community since 1948 when she and her husband bought a blacksmith and welding shop. She graduated from OSU with teaching credentials and taught science at East Walnut School. She married Charlie C. Morris January 27, 1940 in Cleveland County. Thelma taught homemaking and also worked at Branums Variety Store in Minco for many years. She was a member of the Minco Church of Christ and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Minco. She cooked for the Kiwanis Club lunches for many years.
Thelma was preceded in death by parents: D.D. and Vivian Banta; husband: Charlie C. Morris 4-24-98; three brothers: Doyle, Gerald, and Loyle Banta. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Linda Gail and Larry Morefield of Medicine Park, Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Phil Weimer of Corvallis, Oregon; three grandchildren: Jay and wife Tami Morefield of Medicine Park, Natalie and Ray Bailey of Lawton, Heather and Nathan Callaway of Lawton; five great grandchildren: Stephanie Morefield, Selena Bailey, Ray Bailey Jr., Brandon and Jackie Callaway.
